Ubisoft has officially announced the closure of its free-to-play tactical shooter, Rainbow Six Mobile. The title, which saw a worldwide rollout on February 23, 2026, will remain playable for users until January 15, 2027.
The project involved a collaborative effort between 11 Ubisoft studios and Tencent, spanning six and a half years of development. The game was originally intended to provide the tactical experience in accessible, short bursts for a new audience.
Ubisoft stated that the team will transition toward other long-term strategic projects. While the game is ending, the publisher confirmed that the next season is still scheduled to launch next week, with further transition details forthcoming.
The title is managed under Vantage Studios, a joint venture featuring a 25% stake from Tencent. Ubisoft expressed pride in the community and the team's dedication throughout the development and operational journey of the mobile experience.
