Fine Inc. released the empathy-driven psychological mystery adventure game Satori Chuunibyou Counseling Office -Translator of the Second Reality- on Steam on October 9. Players assume the role of Kogoro Satori, who manages a counseling office for individuals who believe in a second reality, such as past-life memories or alternate personas. The narrative focuses on uncovering the genuine feelings and underlying pain hidden behind these delusions.
Gameplay involves a cycle of dialogue, translation, and mind-reading to resolve visitor concerns. Players must listen to visitor stories, fill in keywords to deduce deep psychological states, and investigate the origins of their delusions. Caution is required, as making incorrect choices can worsen the situation for the characters involved.
The early access version currently includes content up to chapter 4, offering approximately 7 to 9 hours of gameplay. While the number of user reviews is currently low, the game has received positive feedback from players. The developer, Shadow Glove, intends to use player feedback to refine the game, with the final release expected to extend the total playtime to 12 to 14 hours.
The game is currently priced at 1280 yen (tax included). However, the price is scheduled to increase to 1980 yen (tax included) on November 13. The title is developed by a young internal team at the Japanese studio Fine, which previously released the deduction game Oh, Landlord!.
