Sano Games, an American indie developer, has launched a playable demo for its upcoming puzzle title, Pet Cross, on Steam. Alongside the demo release, the studio unveiled a fresh trailer for the project.
The gameplay centers on nonogram-style logic puzzles where players fill in grid squares based on numerical clues to reveal hidden pixel art of various animals. As players complete the grids, blocks shatter to unveil the underlying images.
The title is designed for a stress-free experience, featuring no time limits or penalties. If players encounter difficulty, they can pet the on-screen animal companion to receive helpful hints. The full version will include over 100 puzzles, allowing users to unlock new pets as they progress.
Pet Cross is currently scheduled for release in early 2027 for PC. The game will support Japanese language display, and interested players can access the demo now to preview the mechanics.
