An individual known as Cyberleek has issued a new threat against Rockstar Games, claiming possession of a finished build of Grand Theft Auto 6. The leaker, who previously released footage of early builds, story missions, and character models, has resumed activity after a period of silence throughout September.

The leaker demands that Take-Two Interactive provide a physical on-disc release for the game and issue a public apology. Alternatively, Cyberleek states they will release the full build if their associated cryptocurrency reaches a $30 million market cap. Currently, the token sits at a $6 million market cap.

The motivation behind these actions appears to be a combination of ideological opposition to digital-only releases and financial gain. Cyberleek has expressed anger regarding the lack of physical media, while reports suggest the leaks are tied to a cryptocurrency scheme intended to profit the leaker.

Take-Two Interactive previously initiated legal efforts to identify the leaker by subpoenaing Discord and Microsoft in late August. Given the proximity to the game's launch, it remains highly unlikely that the publisher will comply with these demands, leaving the situation uncertain.
