According to reports from GamesBeat, citing four anonymous sources, Rockstar Games is planning to bring GTA 6 to PC during the first quarter of 2027. Neither Rockstar nor its parent company, Take-Two, have issued an official statement regarding these claims.
If accurate, this timeline would place the PC release only months after the scheduled console debut on November 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S. This potential window is notably shorter than the nearly two-year delay experienced by GTA 5.
The PC launch may be tied to the debut of the game's multiplayer mode. While Rockstar has not officially confirmed a multiplayer component, Twitch CEO Dan Clancy stated last month that a new GTA online mode is expected to launch next year.
Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick has previously maintained a vague stance on a PC version, noting that Rockstar determines platform strategy. Zelnick emphasized that the company prioritizes console audiences first, though he acknowledged that the industry is shifting toward open platforms and that the absence of a PC announcement is not necessarily permanent.
