Best Buy is planning to host midnight store openings for the upcoming launch of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time on the Switch 2. This event aims to replicate the retail experience of the original 1998 Nintendo 64 release.
Customers who have already preordered the remake may update their orders to facilitate in-store pickup at midnight on November 5. Participants should anticipate waiting in physical lines outside of retail locations rather than receiving home delivery.
The event will also offer limited quantities of the 40th-anniversary Zelda Switch 2 system and the Switch 2 Pro Controller for those who did not preorder. These items previously sold out quickly following their initial availability last month.
The Switch 2 exclusive features a complete visual overhaul and eight significant gameplay modifications, such as the ability to jump at any time. While the visual changes have received mixed reactions, the game was first showcased in September.
