The official Pokemon information bureau on X has released development documentation for a variant known as the Pale Pikachu, featured in the Nintendo Switch 2 title Poko a Pokemon.
Poko a Pokemon, which launched on March 5, is a slow-life sandbox game where players control a Ditto transformed into a human. The gameplay focuses on restoring a withered town and living alongside unique Pokemon variants.
The documents highlight the Pale Pikachu's distinct physical traits, including its pale fur and drooping ears. Designers adjusted the ear structure to appear less firm, while also modifying the tail's size and angle. The character also features specific facial expressions, such as vertically elongated eyes and a relaxed mouth, alongside various emotional states like joy, surprise, anger, and sadness.
Poko a Pokemon is currently available for the Nintendo Switch 2. Both the physical and digital versions of the game are priced at 8,980 yen including tax.
