On October 14, 2026, IO Data announced the upcoming release of the LCD-GDQ271ULAQ series, a 27-inch gaming monitor under its GigaCrysta brand. The product, which was previously showcased at the Tokyo Game Show 2026, is scheduled to hit the market by the end of October 2026.
The monitor utilizes an AHVA panel with a resolution of 2560x1440 pixels. A key technical advancement is the direct-type Mini LED backlight, which features 2304 local dimming zones. This represents a significant increase compared to existing models that typically offer between 500 and 1000 zones, allowing for more precise backlight control and high-contrast imagery.
The display achieves DisplayHDR 1400 certification, reflecting its high brightness capabilities. Furthermore, the integration of quantum dot technology provides strong color performance, boasting 98% coverage of the DCI-P3 color gamut and 100% coverage of the Adobe RGB standard.
Connectivity options include one DisplayPort and two HDMI ports. When using the DisplayPort interface, the monitor supports a maximum refresh rate of 320Hz at its native 2560x1440 resolution. While not matching OLED technology, the manufacturer expects the device to deliver superior visual performance for gaming applications.
