A newly discovered cheat code for the 2003 GameCube title F-ZERO GX allows players to access content originally tied to the arcade version, F-ZERO AX. This discovery, shared on X, comes 23 years after the game's initial release.
Previously, unlocking these arcade courses and machines required nearly impossible methods, such as linking a GameCube memory card to an arcade cabinet. The new code successfully unlocks these features, along with custom machine parts that were once distributed through specific events.
While the code provides a new way to access content, it presents its own challenges. Some commands require four controllers to be connected and operated simultaneously, making the input process physically demanding for players.
These commands are functional on both the original GameCube release and the version currently available via the Nintendo Classics library for Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscribers.
