To commemorate the 23rd anniversary of the MMORPG Lineage 2, NCSoft launched a Lo-Fi remix album titled The Playlist on the 12th.
The album features nine iconic tracks from the game, including Dawn of Crossroads, Shepherd's Flute, and Unicorn's Rest. These selections were reimagined to blend the original melodies with the relaxed rhythms and textures characteristic of the Lo-Fi genre.
The title track, Dawn of Crossroads, stands out as the most popular piece from the original score. NCSOUND composers adapted the work, transforming the original harp and woodwind arrangement into a Lo-Fi jazz style.
NCSOUND handled the production, rearranging compositions originally created by Bill Brown, Jamie Christopherson, and Inon Zur. The project aims to allow players to enjoy the game's music within their daily environments.
