Xbox Wire Japan has released new information regarding the characters who cross paths with protagonist Makoto Daito over a fifty-year span in 'STRANGER THAN HEAVEN'.
The story follows Makoto Daito, born to an American and a Japanese, who faces severe persecution in America and stows away on a ghost ship in San Francisco in 1915 to reach Japan. Aboard the vessel, he meets merchant Orpheus and fellow stowaway Yu Mashiro, changing his fate across five cities and five eras.
Additional characters include a man born to a Japanese and a British parent who teams up with Daito, a singer dreaming of a big stage, and Daito's younger brother figure Takashi, played by Satoshi Fujiwara from Official Hige Dandism. Furthermore, the game features a CG character recreation of the late Bunta Sugawara, voiced by Takashi Ukaji, and a character named Amal portrayed by Tupac, produced without AI under supervision from Amaru Entertainment.
'STRANGER THAN HEAVEN' is scheduled for release on January 15, 2027, for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC, and Xbox Cloud, with support for Xbox Play Anywhere and availability on Xbox Game Pass.
