So-net has launched a major first-anniversary update for the mobile RPG Cross Summoner: R. This release introduces the first chapter of the game's second main story arc and opens a new server named Fousain.
The update adds two new heroes, Dean and Rina, who specialize in physical and magical attacks respectively. Dean utilizes a shotgun to knock back enemies with his ultimate skill, while Rina employs ancient dragon wings to pull foes into range and potentially stun them.
Dean is a stoic apprentice summoner from the Fousain Holy Kingdom, while Rina is a powerful dragon girl from the Phantom Beast Realm. Players can build teams using various hero roles, including guardians, attackers, and healers, to engage in main story quests, arena battles, and guild activities.
To mark the anniversary, the developers are offering login rewards for all players, alongside exclusive bonuses for those joining the new Fousain server. A limited-time summoning event is also available to increase the acquisition rates of heroes and battle spirits. Future updates will include additional heroes and a Halloween-themed event.
