World of Warcraft Forever has reached a significant milestone, with over 1,003,125 characters created since the beta phase began last month. Data tracked by classicplus.io indicates this high engagement despite the requirement to purchase the $30 Skyborne pack for beta access.
Player preferences reveal that the new Skyborne race accounts for 18.7% of characters across both factions. Alliance players favor Humans at 32.3%, while the Undead remain the most popular choice for Horde players, representing 33.5% of the population.
The beta currently restricts players to a level 30 cap and limited world access. Furthermore, all character progress will be wiped before the full game release on November 4. Blizzard developers have expressed surprise at these high participation numbers.
Despite the upcoming wipe, the project faces scrutiny regarding strict enforcement of player naming policies and anti-gold selling measures that have impacted streamers. Conversely, the inclusion of the popular "Kyle's Gone Missing" quest has received positive feedback from the community.
