Playground Games has announced that Forza Horizon 6 will launch on PlayStation 5 on January 26, 2027. This release follows the game's initial debut on Xbox and PC in the spring of 2026. To coincide with the console launch, the studio is releasing its first paid expansion, Expansion 1, on January 21, 2027, across all platforms.
The upcoming expansion introduces a new geographical zone, additional vehicles, and fresh race events to the existing open world, which currently features Tokyo and Japanese mountain roads. While the expansion is included for Premium Edition owners, others must purchase it separately. A free content update will also be available to all players on January 21.
The PlayStation 5 version will feature technical optimizations, including a 4K Quality mode at 30 frames per second and a Performance mode at 60 frames per second. Players purchasing the 119,99€ Premium Edition gain five days of early access starting January 21, 2027. Standard and Deluxe editions are priced at 69,99€ and 99,99€ respectively.
To unify the community, the developer confirmed full cross-play and cross-save support. Players can transfer progress, credits, and car collections between Xbox, PC, and PlayStation 5 by linking their Microsoft accounts. Additionally, PlayStation users will gain immediate access to community-created content, including custom liveries and race tracks developed since the game's 2026 launch.
