Capcom officially announced that the Prologue Demo for Monster Hunter Wilds is scheduled to launch on Nintendo Switch 2 on October 19. Players can begin their journey early, as the title allows save data to transfer directly into the full game upon its release.
The upcoming demo features story content spanning up to Chapter 1-3, titled To the Forest, and provides access to every weapon type. While other platforms have already received this trial version, the Switch 2 edition is specifically slated for release next week.
Regarding technical functionality, the demo supports local multiplayer, enabling users to play alongside friends. However, the developers confirmed that online multiplayer capabilities will not be included in this specific version for the Nintendo hardware.
Alongside the demo launch, digital pre-orders for the full game will become available on the Nintendo Switch 2 platform on October 19. The complete title is currently in development for that system with a scheduled release date of December 4.
