Developer Hello Games has announced that the space exploration title No Man's Sky is coming to iPhone and iPad. According to the Taiwan App Store, the game is expected to launch on October 29, 2026, and will offer a free trial of the prologue.

The mobile version includes over 40 major updates released since 2016, including content like base building, living ships, and the 2026 "Vast Universe" update. Despite this, the game occupies less than 5GB of storage, specifically around 3.8GB. Founder Sean Murray noted that years of optimization work and technical experience from the development of Light No Fire allowed the team to fit the entire game into this small footprint.

Hello Games has rebuilt the control system for touch interfaces, though the game also supports controllers, mouse and keyboard on iPad, and screen casting. The port is optimized for devices with A12 Bionic chips or newer, specifically targeting iPhone 11 and third-generation iPad Air models or later.

At launch, the iOS version will lack multiplayer functionality and planetary settlements, similar to the initial release on Nintendo Switch. Hello Games stated that future feature additions will depend on player feedback and community demand.
