Coin Crew Games has officially announced that Escape Academy 2: Back 2 School will arrive on PlayStation 5 on November 5. This sequel transitions the franchise from a linear narrative structure to an expansive open-world campus environment.
The game introduces a more immersive campus life, featuring distinct sections like the Headmaster’s Tower and the reconstructed Humanities Campus. Players can engage in side quests, interact with landmarks, and uncover secrets hidden throughout the environment, which now functions as a living puzzle.
Developers focused on enhancing the visual identity of the school, using the original Headmaster’s Office as a design benchmark. The Humanities Campus offers a warmer, more inviting atmosphere compared to the Science or Arts areas, encouraging exploration between puzzle-solving sessions.
The title maintains support for both local and online cooperative play across the entire campaign. While certain areas like the Humanities Campus are not immediately accessible, the developers designed the world to reward curiosity, with hidden lock-themed decorations scattered throughout the academy for players to discover.
