Embers Adrift is currently celebrating its four-year anniversary with a series of special events. Alongside these festivities, the developers have launched a significant content update that introduces the third phase of the Forgotten Depths.
This expansion brings a new level 40+ zone to the game, featuring the title's inaugural raid challenge. Players are invited to explore the deepest recesses of this area to engage in the ongoing conflict between the Dark Cabal and the Shrieks.
The update also introduces new diving mechanics, which allow players to submerge in water that reaches above their heads. Currently, this feature is restricted specifically to the newly added region.
The development team noted that some combat animations may appear wonky following the update. They attributed these technical limitations to the size of their team, explaining that they prioritized the inclusion of the diving system despite the potential for animation issues.
