Ubisoft has reportedly issued a copyright strike against a YouTube video featuring an unused epilogue cutscene discovered in Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced. The footage, which was allegedly datamined by a modder known as Sliderv2, is no longer accessible due to this removal request.
The unfinished scene depicts protagonist Edward Kenway in a tavern conversing with Miko, a British Assassin Brotherhood leader. Miko is killed by Haytham Kenway early in Assassin's Creed 3. The dialogue reportedly references the 1727 death of King George I and suggests a call for global assistance from Assassins, including Adéwalé.
Observers speculate that the scene might hint at future narrative content covering Edward Kenway’s life between 1725 and his death in 1735. However, the author notes that this period may already be addressed by existing media, such as the webtoon Assassin's Creed: Forgotten Temple, or that the scene could simply be discarded fan service.
The publisher has been contacted for comment regarding the situation. Meanwhile, other updates for the mod have addressed specific gameplay issues, such as the cost of the Kraken wheel and technical bugs involving ship shopping and weather effects.
