Kakao Games has announced the successful launch of Dokkebi-ui Segye, a 2.5D MMORPG developed by Supercat. Following its official release on October 8, the title quickly secured top positions in popularity and revenue across major mobile platforms.
The game reached number one in popularity on the Apple App Store on October 7 and achieved the same rank on Google Play on its launch day. By October 11, it climbed to the second spot in revenue on both platforms.
To manage the influx of players, the publisher added a new server named Bokbun on October 10. The game currently maintains a 4.6-star rating on Google Play, which the company notes is a high figure for its genre given the volume of reviews.
Kakao Games is actively addressing user feedback through rapid updates and communication. Future plans include seasonal updates every four weeks and a global release to expand the service beyond the domestic market.
