Valve has introduced Deadman Danny to Deadlock, the fourth hero from the City Never Sleeps lineup. This explosive skeleton, previously known as the mascot for Fairfax Industries, draws thematic inspiration from Team Fortress 2 characters like the Soldier and Pyro. According to the publication, the character has contributed to a new player-count high for the multiplayer title.

Danny features a mobility-focused kit that incorporates rocket jumping via his Chimera Peace Bringer weapon. Players can fire explosive projectiles at their feet to launch themselves, though this incurs minor self-damage. Additionally, he utilizes a Chimera Mk1 jetpack that builds heat during use. Overheating causes a forced divebomb, while upgraded versions provide healing and reduced cooldowns.

The hero's abilities include Strix Salvo, which fires spirit missiles that can function as ground mines, and Jettison Fuel, a gunk-spraying attack that shreds bullet resistance. His finisher, Close The Deal, allows Danny to grab enemies and perform an Izuna Drop. The reviewer notes that this move deals increased damage to targets under half health and offers directional control for repositioning opponents.

While the reviewer describes Danny as a fun addition, they note that other roster members dislike his enthusiastic personality. Deadman Danny is currently available in-game. Valve plans to release two additional heroes, with the next arrivals expected by this time next week.
