FuRyu is developing Anomaliith, a survival third-person shooter set in a fictional version of Japan where the Showa era continues. Producer Gai Kidokoro explains that the project emerged from the development team's shared passion for shooters. The game aims to balance engaging TPS mechanics with the character-driven storytelling and world-building typical of FuRyu titles.

The gameplay mechanics draw inspiration from several established titles. The core system is modeled after the Resident Evil series, while the loop of scavenging resources and returning to a base is influenced by Escape from Tarkov. To maintain a unique identity, the developers combined a Showa-era aesthetic with liminal space concepts, opting for an anime-style art direction to better suit the narrative tone.

Following feedback from a Steam demo, the team improved keyboard and mouse controls, which were initially neglected in favor of controller optimization. Kidokoro notes that while the game includes aim assist for beginners and a dedicated story mode, it also offers high-difficulty settings like Survival mode, where a single mistake can result in failure during intense enemy rushes.

Anomaliith is scheduled for release on October 29 for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam. The title has garnered significant international attention, particularly in North America, which the producer attributes to the global interest in liminal spaces and the game's distinct visual approach.
