During the ongoing Steam Autumn Sale, the sci-fi colony simulation and first-person Roguelite title Pax Autocratica, developed by Multiverse, unexpectedly appeared with an 80% historical low discount. The development team quickly released an announcement explaining that the discount was configured incorrectly and that they had originally intended to offer only a 20% promotion.
In Pax Autocratica, players act as national rulers who manage a colony starting from a few survivors, handling tasks like resource gathering, weapon production, and law enforcement through fear or prosperity, while also personally engaging in first-person Roguelite combat alongside soldiers and vehicles.
Having launched in Steam Early Access on August 10, 2026, with an estimated duration of about two years, the sudden steep price cut caused concern. Consequently, the team stressed that the error does not signal an abandonment or cessation of the game's development. At the time of writing, the developer has contacted Steam customer support to request a correction, though the 80% discount remains active on the store until the fix is applied.
