On October 10, game development circle Astro Shaft announced its upcoming puzzle adventure title, Angel Mall. The game follows four girls and one android who awaken in an abandoned shopping center and must search for a way to escape. The protagonist, Tsuzuri, discovers evidence suggesting she previously lived within the facility.
Gameplay centers on exploring the mall to uncover its secrets, with progress tracked via an in-game information board. Players must navigate a multi-layered map and analyze facility mechanics to solve mysteries and advance the narrative toward the truth behind the location.
A key mechanic involves a strict time limit during exploration. As time passes, the environment, including map layouts and equipment, may change. Success depends on the player's ability to understand these shifting conditions and plan their movements strategically to overcome the challenges presented by the mall.
Angel Mall is currently slated for a 2027 release on Steam. Astro Shaft, known for previous girl-meets-girl visual novels like The Day We Depart for the Starry Sky, has also launched a development blog and a pixiv FANBOX to share progress updates with the community.
