German manufacturer be quiet! has announced the Light Wings Pro IO, a new high-end series of software-controlled cooling fans. The lineup includes all-in-one frame models in 420 mm and 360 mm sizes, alongside 140 mm and 120 mm expansion units, all available in black or white.
The fans feature a 28 mm thickness and a continuous rubber frame designed to minimize vibration and enhance airflow. Performance is managed through Fluid Dynamic Bearings, optimized fan modes, and a semi-passive zero RPM function. To mitigate acoustic resonance, the middle impeller operates with a specific RPM offset.
Lighting customization is a core focus, with all-in-one units offering up to 124 LEDs across four zones. Users can manage these effects and cooling curves via the IO Center software for Windows or a browser-based version. These tools allow for per-impeller RPM configuration and temperature-linked lighting profiles.
The system utilizes a single-cable connection to an included IO Controller, supporting daisy-chaining for up to six devices. Retail availability for the Light Wings Pro IO series begins October 27, with all products covered by a 5-year manufacturer's warranty.
