NVIDIA is set to upgrade its DLSS 5 technology with a new model that doubles performance. This advancement follows system pipeline optimizations and improvements to the 3D neural rendering model, which now offers ten times the performance compared to its initial launch in March 2026.
The updated model debuts in NBA 2K27 on October 16, where it is projected to increase frame rates by 1.4 times. Following this, the technology will expand to additional titles throughout November.
Avalanche Software will integrate DLSS 5 into Hogwarts Legacy on November 5. The developer aims to utilize the SDK to enhance lighting and material details while preserving the game's artistic style. Additionally, Everstone Studio plans to bring the technology to the highly-rated title Where Winds Meet in late November, responding to significant community interest.
