The cooperative climbing game PEAK, recognized as a major indie success of 2025, is reportedly heading to PlayStation 5. According to the Entertainment Software Rating Board, the title has been officially listed for Sony's console, suggesting a release may occur in the coming weeks or months.
Developed by Landfall Games and Aggro Crab, PEAK launched on PC in June 2025. The title, which developers categorize as a friendslop, tasks up to four players with scaling a mountain on a mysterious island. Gameplay requires managing stamina and physics while collaborating with teammates, as the route configuration changes daily.
The game achieved significant popularity, accumulating over 20 million players during its first year. Since its initial release, the developers have supported the project with free content updates, including a new biome inspired by the forests of the Pacific Northwest.
Skybound Games is identified as the publisher for the PlayStation 5 version. While the ESRB listing confirms the platform expansion, it remains unclear if Skybound is handling the port development or managing the distribution of a physical edition.
