The title features an advanced dynamic weather system designed to be more localized and persistent. Players will experience tropical storms and hurricanes that can be physically seen in the distance, alongside dynamic cloudscapes with multiple cloud varieties rolling across the map, though Rockstar remains coy about how weather impacts gameplay and story.
The game includes over 170 animal species, featuring more than 60 bird types, 30 land mammals, fish, and reptiles. Confirmed wildlife includes sharks, whales, rays, turtles, jellyfish, manatees, flamingos, and pelicans. Additionally, animals utilize new hair and fur systems that react to human interaction by getting wet, clumping, or matting from dirt, while displaying features like iridescence, bioluminescence, and translucency.
