Crunchyroll has provided new information regarding the upcoming anime adaptation of Sony's Ghost of Tsushima, which is currently scheduled for a 2028 release. While specific plot details remain limited, the project is moving forward with a confirmed cast and creative team.

The production features Takanobu Mizuno, known for his work on Star Wars: Visions, as director. The animation studio Kamikaze Douga, recognized for Batman: Ninja, is handling the project. Writing duties are assigned to Gen Urobuchi and Renji Oki, with Keiji Inai composing the music and Yoshikazu Iwanami serving as sound director.

Voice acting roles include Mayumi Saco, who previously voiced Tomoe in the original game, and Shinya Fukumatsu, known for his role as Bomb in One-Punch Man. Additionally, Gyousyou Suzuki is contributing calligraphy to the production.

This adaptation follows the 2020 launch of the original Ghost of Tsushima on PS4 and its subsequent PS5 upgrade. The franchise recently expanded with the 2025 release of Ghost of Yotei, which includes the Echoes of Sekigahara expansion.
