The upcoming third installment of the Final Fantasy 7 Remake trilogy, titled Revelation, serves as the finale to a project spanning 11 years since its initial 2015 reveal. A recent 25-minute demo provided an early look at the game, though it left the player with more questions than definitive answers regarding the conclusion of the saga.
The demo features Cloud alongside new party members Cid Highwind and Vincent Valentine, both of whom are fully playable. Vincent offers significant combat versatility by switching between a long-range human form and a close-range Galian Beast form. Mastering this character requires balancing these modes, as the beast transformation continuously drains Vincent's HP.
Vincent's human form includes abilities like Blood Moon, a high-damage charged shot, and Reckoning, which rains projectiles onto targets. In his Galian Beast form, he can execute Damnation, a multi-hit spinning attack. While the combat mechanics show promise, the reviewer noted that the limited demo duration made it difficult to fully master the balance between Vincent's two distinct forms.
