Halo Studios director of competitive engagement, Tashi, confirmed that the Halo Fest event scheduled for December remains on track. Despite recent mass layoffs and significant organizational shifts at the developer, official news regarding the event is expected to arrive this week.
The event is set to take place in Seattle from December 11-13 and is currently sold out. Attendees and viewers can expect content celebrating 25 years of the franchise, including appearances by voice actors Steve Downes and Jen Taylor, alongside various community-focused activities.
Microsoft indicated that the programming will cater to diverse interests, ranging from the series' narrative and art to its music. Furthermore, the studio plans to share relevant information concerning currently available Halo titles.
These updates occur amidst a major transition, as the franchise moves to Activision. While Halo Studios will continue supporting titles like Halo Infinite and The Master Chief Collection with a reduced team, future installments, including a rumored reboot, are now under Activision's purview.
