The Entertainment Software Association (ESA) has officially flagged an anonymous individual known as voices38 as a major threat to the video game industry. This designation was submitted via a recommendation report to the Office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR) regarding notorious markets and piracy concerns.

According to the ESA, the individual has successfully bypassed Denuvo DRM protections on approximately two dozen video game titles. The organization notes that these cracked versions are subsequently distributed across various platforms, including torrent sites, file hosting services, piracy forums, and repacker groups like FitGirl.

The ESA argues that the activities of voices38 warrant serious intervention because they facilitate the unauthorized removal of Denuvo protections. By enabling games to run without these security measures, the actor is viewed as a primary contributor to widespread intellectual property infringement within the gaming sector.

As of October 13, the individual has not publicly responded to the ESA report, despite inquiries from community members on the r/CrackWatch subreddit. This silence contrasts with previous instances where the cracker responded promptly to legal threats from Denuvo, leaving observers curious about their potential reaction to this latest development.
