Melbourne-based developer House House has confirmed that their upcoming cooperative puzzle game, Big Walk, will not launch on Xbox consoles. The studio, known for Untitled Goose Game, stated they are observing the BDS movement's boycott of Microsoft, which was initiated in 2025 regarding the company's business ties with the Israeli military.
The developers acknowledged that withholding the title from the Xbox platform conflicts with their goal of enabling groups of friends to play together. House House expressed regret for the resulting disappointment but maintained that they will not bring the game to the platform until Microsoft is no longer a target of the boycott.
This decision aligns the studio with other developers like Speculative Agency and badru, who have also publicly divested from Xbox hardware and services. House House emphasized their belief in collective action to confront powerful interests and noted their long-standing support for Palestinian causes dating back to at least 2023.
While the studio recently addressed a voice chat volume issue in Big Walk via a patch, they remain uncertain about the game's long-term future. The developers indicated that future plans for the title likely do not include downloadable content.
