NVIDIA has announced RTX Spark, a new computing platform integrating a superchip with up to 128GB of unified memory and 1 petaflop of AI compute. Designed to function as a gaming PC, creative studio, and personal AI supercomputer, the system supports local AI agents and the full NVIDIA RTX and CUDA stack. Laptops featuring this technology are scheduled for release on Friday, Oct. 16.
The platform introduces significant software optimizations, including the Nemotron 3.5 Bolt 74B model for agentic AI, launching Thursday, Oct. 15. Developers gain access to native frameworks like PyTorch and Python for Windows on Arm. Furthermore, NVIDIA PAIR has exited beta, enabling users to distribute AI workloads across multiple local devices.
Creative and gaming applications receive substantial updates. Adobe is rearchitecting Photoshop and Premiere for RTX Spark, promising up to 2x performance improvements. Additionally, NVIDIA is launching DLSS 5 with 3D-Guided Neural Rendering on Oct. 16, which aims to enhance lighting and material detail in games like NBA 2K27. Modders can expect RTX Remix updates on Oct. 23.
Security remains a priority, with NVIDIA OpenShell and Microsoft Execution Containers (MXC) providing operating system-level protection for local agents. Users can manage these agents via a "Getting Started" screen upon initial boot, with support for hybrid cloud and local AI routing to optimize performance and resource usage.
