Clumsy Bear Studio announced that the full version 1.0 of Hungry Horrors will release on Steam for PC and Mac on October 13. The game will be priced at 1700 yen including tax, with a 20 percent discount promotion scheduled to coincide with the launch.
In this deck-building adventure, players control a demanding princess who must serve meals to monsters rather than engaging in combat. The objective is to determine the hunger levels and flavor preferences of creatures to satisfy them and ensure they depart before the protagonist is eaten.
The full release features eight distinct areas inspired by the British Isles. Players will encounter 34 types of monsters, such as the Dullahan and Jenny Greenteeth, and utilize 62 cooking cards based on traditional recipes from Ireland and the United Kingdom. All characters, artifacts, and creatures are derived from regional folklore and legends.
Two gameplay modes are included in the final version. The Classic mode allows for replayable narrative progression, while the Banquet mode offers a more challenging experience designed for shorter play sessions.
