Nexon released the third episode of its video series, OverTalk, on the 15th to showcase the core Dimension feature of its upcoming MMORPG, Overgeared. The presentation featured author Lee Jong-beom, Gray Games PD Choi Byeong-cheon, Director Yoon Soon-jun, and science communicator Orbit.
The game implements each server as a unique dimension, allowing players to travel between them via the Abyss. This system enables users to visit or permanently migrate to other worlds to engage in boss raids, resource gathering, and trading.
Players can access exclusive farming opportunities, such as specific mineral mining and unique boss encounters, in different dimensions. The game also supports item trading that leverages price differences across various dimension-specific exchanges, fostering an interconnected economy.
To balance power gaps, developers grouped dimensions into divisions, applying separate pools for new and existing servers to protect newcomers. Dimension travel requires no paid currency, though costs vary based on distance, in-game currency, and duration of stay. PD Choi Byeong-cheon aims to create a highly interactive world where these dimensions serve as platforms for continuous player engagement.
