Mgame is set to launch its new mobile idle RPG, Ghost Soul Raising, in November. Based on the 2005 online game Ghost Soul, the title follows the legendary warrior Taehwa-nogun, who must reclaim his lost power after being betrayed by his disciple. The developers aim to provide a stress-free experience where players can progress through short, daily sessions.
The game features an automated, stage-based combat system where players manage a team of up to three characters. Unlike the original title, users can collect all six available classes as companions, each offering unique martial arts skills. Players must strategically combine these companions and utilize spirits to overcome challenging dungeons and boss encounters.
According to planning team leader Park Seong-tae, the game focuses on convenience by minimizing complex menu navigation. While the initial release includes core progression, future updates will introduce cooperative raids and competitive 30-versus-30 guild battles. Mgame intends to release major content updates in monthly intervals, with larger story-driven expansions occurring every three to six months.
Regarding long-term service, director Lee Jae-chang noted that while blockchain features were developed, they are currently excluded from the domestic launch due to legal uncertainties. The team remains focused on providing a stable experience that respects the original IP's legacy while catering to both nostalgic fans and new players through a reinterpreted narrative.
