Nozomu Games and Inner Pocket released the deck-building game Burn With Me on Steam on the 12th. Set within the mysterious Arcane University, the narrative focuses on students exploring themes of obsession, sacrifice, and the occult as they summon inner demons.
The gameplay introduces new cards, synergies, and mechanics in each chapter to reshape traditional deck-builder formulas. A core feature is the card burning system, where drawing cards during difficult challenges causes random cards in hand to be permanently destroyed, forcing players to sacrifice their own resources.
The game features six hand-crafted chapters, each with unique bosses and mechanics. The narrative is delivered through a slow-paced structure inspired by folklore, creating a specific atmosphere described as Cozy Dread, supported by hand-drawn artwork and surreal animations.
Additional content includes a bestiary containing 90 creature entries and 90 unlockable art pieces contributed by 44 guest artists. Voice acting for the university characters is provided by professionals including Alec Shea, Sarah Nightingale, and Diana Garnet.
