Arte France and Oopsie Daisies have announced the release date for their narrative adventure title, Tom the Postgirl. The game is scheduled to launch on October 29 for PC, Mac, and Nintendo Switch, arriving in time for the Halloween season.
Players assume the role of a mischievous courier named Tom, who observes residents through windows, doors, and wall cracks while delivering mail. The game features a variety of eccentric characters, including a narcissistic mayor, an orphanage resembling a kennel, and a hippie couple wielding chainsaws, alongside non-human entities like drug-dealing pigeons and grumpy squirrels.
The title utilizes a frame-by-frame animation style with hand-drawn backgrounds to blend storybook aesthetics with the bizarre tone of Adult Swim cartoons. Mechanics allow players to disrupt the peace by trampling fences or stealing garden gnomes. The game supports multiple endings, unlockable profiles, and achievements to encourage replayability, as users can choose different approaches to uncover hidden secrets.
Tom the Postgirl will be priced at 9.99 euros, with a 10% discount available on Steam for the first two weeks following release. The game includes support for several languages, including English, French, German, Japanese, Korean, and Chinese.
