The UniJapan-organized TIFFCOM 2026, scheduled for October 28–30, has unveiled details for its Tokyo IP Market (TIPM) and Tokyo Gap-Financing Market (TGFM) pitch events. Supported by IMAGICA GROUP, these sessions will feature eight Japanese IP holders and ten feature film projects seeking financing.

The TIPM pitch session on October 28 will showcase diverse Japanese intellectual properties, ranging from long-running film series like Shochiku’s "Tora-san" to toy franchises such as Takara Tomy’s "BEYBLADE." Eight companies will present their works in English at the IMAGICA Entertainment Media Service screening room.

TGFM will host its first open pitch, divided into two segments. The first features five projects, including Japanese animations like OLM’s "Mahora." The second segment, the "Frontières Showcase," highlights five international co-productions, including the Japan-Canada collaboration "WILD ZERO OVERDRIVE." Additionally, conferences on international co-production support and genre film markets will take place, featuring experts from Canada, Brazil, and Japan.

The event concludes on October 30 with an award ceremony, presenting the "Tokyo Project Award" with a 2 million yen prize, the "Whitelight Post Production Award," and the "Asian Gen-Z Award." Participation is open to all TIFFCOM pass holders on a first-come, first-served basis.
