LEGO and PlayStation officially announced the new LEGO PlayStation console set, which is a 1,911 piece build celebrating the original console alongside a controller. The product is currently available for purchase or pre-order at a price of $279.99 AUD for LEGO Insiders, with a wider release scheduled for October 4th.
The main build serves as a 1:1 scale replica of the classic hardware. It includes two distinct dioramas based on Gran Turismo and Ape Escape that fit inside the console or can be displayed separately. Opening the lid reveals these internal diorama scenes, featuring a mini race track for Gran Turismo and the red and blue monkey helmet for Ape Escape.
Purchasing the LEGO PlayStation unlocks a promotional free gift featuring a 276 piece LEGO Astro Bot set complete with a display stand and an Astro Bot logo. This bonus promotion applies to orders over $245 and remains available until October 7th while supplies last.
Because these promotional giveaway items are typically rare and rarely sold separately once depleted, buyers interested in the Astro Bot collectible are encouraged to secure the bundle through the official store.
