At Tokyo Game Show 2026, the All Accessibility Corner featured booths from Araya, as well as a joint booth by Nippon Electronics College Project Allcea and Okayama University Hospital. Araya showcased its palm-sized EEG measurement device called NeuDots, designed to make brain-wave tracking accessible for gaming.
NeuDots uses electrode stickers placed on the forehead and behind the ears. Araya prioritizes real-time measurement of accessible metrics like alpha waves over research-grade performance, targeting a consumer price of roughly 5000 to 1万円 yen and providing an SDK for Unity and Unreal Engine integration.
Araya exhibited NeuroWizards, an action game where players charge magic using alpha waves and aim via body and facial movements captured by a camera. However, testing revealed difficulties targeting moving NPC allies for healing spells because they moved too frequently and were small targets.
In addition, the Nippon Electronics College and Okayama University Hospital joint booth presented Fish Fishing VR, which targets arm and leg training for pediatric cancer patients undergoing VR rehabilitation, turning physical therapy into an engaging activity.
