At Tokyo Game Show 2026, SEGA showcased the second Season Pass for Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds. This update introduces new tracks inspired by the Godzilla and Evangelion universes, alongside guest characters including Bayonetta, Rei Ayanami, Asuka Langley Shikinami, Aegis from Persona 3 Reload, and McLaren Sonic.
The update introduces the Rival Duel mode, a 1v1 racing format playable against AI or friends. This mode features a Rival Boost mechanic, requiring players to strategically time their speed boosts to close gaps. Additionally, players can unlock Bayonetta and her Butterfly Witch hoverboard by winning three specific races, providing a free content path for players.
New tracks incorporate environmental hazards based on their source material. In the Godzilla Escape track, players must navigate around the monster as it attacks with its Atomic Breath. Similarly, the Tokyo-III track from Neon Genesis Evangelion features the EVA-01 unit and NERV facilities, forcing players to adapt to dynamic obstacles rather than just focusing on speed.
The game is currently available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC, with full support for the Thai language.
