Atari and Sad Cat Studios have announced that the cyberpunk action-platformer Replaced will launch on Android devices on December 8. This release follows the game's initial debut on April 14 on PC and XBOX Series platforms.
The title features 2.5D gameplay set in an alternate version of the United States during the 80s, following a nuclear catastrophe. Players control R.E.A.C.H., an artificial intelligence trapped in a human body, as they navigate Phoenix City and confront the Phoenix Corporation. The game is noted for its visual style, which combines pixel art with modern lighting and cinematic staging.
The Android version is being adapted by the Polish studio The Knights of U. According to the developers, this iteration will maintain the cinematic atmosphere and visual quality of the original. The release will be part of the Google Play Games program, allowing for cross-platform play across mobile, tablet, and PC with a single purchase.
The announcement coincides with the game reaching a milestone of over 900,000 players across all available platforms. This total includes users who accessed the title through the Game Pass service since its launch.
