Publisher Nuntius Games and Vsoo Games have announced that the 2D platform action game Robo-chan: Pluto Mission, developed by Brazilian studio TwinkleSoft, is scheduled for release on Steam on October 29. A new gameplay trailer has also been released to give players a preview of the content.

Inspired by classic titles such as the NES Mega Man and the Touhou Project, the game is designed for players who enjoy retro difficulty, combining charming aesthetics with precise level design. The story is set on the isolated island of Pluto, where protagonist Reibo must investigate a mysterious spaceship crash that disrupts the peaceful lives of the Robo-chan residents.

The game launches with six distinct stages featuring complex boss fights. Defeating bosses grants players special weapons to exploit subsequent weaknesses. Core mechanics center on jumping, shooting, and sliding, with customizable controls that even feature a dedicated tripping button. Players can choose from Chill, Classic, and Lunatic difficulty modes right from the start.

Currently, Robo-chan: Pluto Mission is set to launch exclusively on Steam on October 29. However, Nuntius Games is also developing console versions, with further details to be announced in the future.
