Publisher Shoreline Games announced that the 2D side-scrolling soccer game Kick, developed by nospacelost, is scheduled for release on PC via Steam on November 3. The title features Japanese language support for both text and subtitles.

Players control a character named The Kid, navigating through a commute to school while dribbling a soccer ball. The gameplay utilizes physics-based mechanics, allowing for techniques such as sliding, lifting, shooting, and overhead kicks to bypass obstacles like benches, playground equipment, and pedestrians.

The game features a stage-based structure with varied objectives, including racing against dogs and collecting items. Players can spend collected coins on over 20 different ball skins, which range from standard soccer balls to tennis balls and empty cans.

Developer Peter, based in Switzerland, aims to create a cozy experience that incorporates elements of randomness and realism. A demo version featuring Japanese language support is currently available for players to try ahead of the official launch.
