Fortnite official updates and server-status checklist

Follow current Fortnite announcements and Epic service status before troubleshooting a failed login or matchmaking session. Fortnitemares covers several modes; check the mode you actually play.

Installation

  1. Read the announcement for your mode and check Epic service status at https://status.epicgames.com/.
  2. Finish the update in your platform launcher, then restart the game.
  3. If services are healthy but the problem persists, record the platform, error message and time for Epic Support.

Removal · recovery

  1. A service outage is not repaired by reinstalling the game; wait for an official recovery notice.
  2. If only your installation fails, use the launcher repair option before reinstalling.
