Installation

  1. Close the game and mod manager. Separately back up all saves, existing mod folders and launch options. Keep the pre-mod backup unchanged.
  2. Check D2RMM and the creator’s current requirements first.
  3. Get the D2RMM ZIP from the original Files tab. Extract the folder containing mod.json directly into the manager’s mods folder. Distinguish this from the game installation’s mods folder.
  4. Choose categories such as weapons, armor, jewelry, charms and jewels in Show Item Level. Compare alone if another mod edits item names.
  5. Check the game path in D2RMM and select Install Mods. Use Launch D2R or the launch arguments -mod D2RMM -txt. Check a new offline character first.
  6. Check that item names show a level on a test character. Do not interpret it as a change to required level or item stats.

Removal · recovery

  1. Close the game, disable only this mod in D2RMM and run Install Mods again. Changing a checkbox alone does not rebuild the generated game mod.
  2. Check that the extra level display disappears from the selected item categories.
  3. Compare using D2RMM if other mods remain. Remove mod launch arguments when returning to the base game. Compare save problems with a new test character and recover from the pre-mod backup.
