Installation

  1. Close the game and mod manager. Separately back up all saves, existing mod folders and launch options. Keep the pre-mod backup unchanged.
  2. Check the documented D2RMM 1.1 minimum and current game compatibility.
  3. Get the D2RMM ZIP from the original Files tab. Extract the folder containing mod.json directly into the manager’s mods folder. Distinguish this from the game installation’s mods folder.
  4. Enable Expanded Inventory and initially disable other inventory resizing or UI changes.
  5. Check the game path in D2RMM and select Install Mods. Use Launch D2R or the launch arguments -mod D2RMM -txt. Check a new offline character first.
  6. Check the 13×8 layout, picking up and moving items, and equipment on a new offline character. Then compare a backed-up existing character.

Removal · recovery

  1. While the mod is enabled, move items outside normal inventory capacity into normal slots or a compatible stash and save.
  2. Close the game, disable only this mod in D2RMM and run Install Mods again. Changing a checkbox alone does not rebuild the generated game mod.
  3. Compare using D2RMM if other mods remain. Remove mod launch arguments when returning to the base game. Compare save problems with a new test character and recover from the pre-mod backup.
