Streamer Sangdeok, known for his expressive reactions to subculture game content, recently shared his thoughts on the 3.7 update for Kuro Games' Wuthering Waves. Having followed the title since its early days, Sangdeok noted that while he initially lacked strong confidence in the game due to its early storytelling, the developer's consistent improvements have since exceeded his expectations.
Sangdeok praised the 3.7 update for its emotional depth and technical execution. He highlighted the story's focus on the role of 'heart' in civilization, specifically regarding the character 'Fox's Constellation.' He found the narrative, which explores whether a guardian needs a heart, to be both poignant and well-integrated into the game's broader themes of collective salvation.
Regarding the new 'Tales' quests, Sangdeok felt they effectively complemented the main story, providing a deeper, more melancholic look at the characters. However, he cautioned players to fully enjoy the 'Jowolhoe' event before speaking to the character Suiming, as he accidentally triggered the end of the event prematurely by interacting with her too early.
Looking ahead, Sangdeok expressed high satisfaction with the current direction of the game's narrative. While he remains impressed by the studio's development capabilities, he jokingly requested that Kuro Games release more character skins and alternate models in future updates to further enhance the player experience.
